So… a couple of days ago I decited it was about time to get lockdown on some doubles flips.
The plan was to first go for double frontflip, then move on to double backflip and finally learn the infamous kangaroo flip.
First, the jump I wanted to do double front on got closed just when I dropped in for the double front, because the park crew (for once) shaped right next to it… bummer.
Then it was time for double back, to warm up and get ready for the kangaroo flip. I have done double backflip a bunch of times, so it wasn’t too big of a deal. I psyched myself up for a little while, and dropped in… pop’ed the double like I had done several times before on that jump, got around once and spotted the landing real quick – it looked like I was going a little big – went for the second flip, spottet the landing again and it was right in front of me. I caught both my tips in the landing… guess I didn’t go as big as I thought mid-air!
I slammed pretty damn hard and hurt my back pretty bad and actually though I wouldn’t be able to ski the last 2 weeks og the season. Today 5 days after I can hardenly feel any pain in my back, and I skied a little bit yesterday (no jumping or anything) so I’m gonna try and get back on the shred’mill tomorrow.
I really really really wanna get the damn kangaroo flip. I’m not sure if I’m gonna be able to make it before the snow is gone – but I sure am gonna try (if my body feels ready for it).
First big slam og the season… about damn time.
