Back gone bad

So… a couple of days ago I decited it was about time to get lockdown on some doubles flips.

The plan was to first go for double frontflip, then move on to double backflip and finally learn the infamous kangaroo flip.

First, the jump I wanted to do double front on got closed just when I dropped in for the double front, because the park crew (for once) shaped right next to it… bummer.

Then it was time for double back, to warm up and get ready for the kangaroo flip. I have done double backflip a bunch of times, so it wasn’t too big of a deal. I psyched myself up for a little while, and dropped in… pop’ed the double like I had done several times before on that jump, got around once and spotted the landing real quick – it looked like I was going a little big – went for the second flip, spottet the landing again and it was right in front of me. I caught both my  tips in the landing… guess I didn’t go as big as I thought mid-air!

I slammed pretty damn hard and hurt my back pretty bad and actually though I wouldn’t be able to ski the last 2 weeks og the season. Today 5 days after I can hardenly feel any pain in my back, and I skied a little bit yesterday (no jumping or anything) so I’m gonna try and get back on the shred’mill tomorrow.

I really really really wanna get the damn kangaroo flip. I’m not sure if I’m gonna be able to make it before the snow is gone – but I sure am gonna try (if my body feels ready for it).

First big slam og the season… about damn time.

Bad Footage vTWO

An other edit I slapped together real quick… we filmed it in an hour og two in the Val Thorens park – and it was pretty windy…

Bad Footage vZERO

I’ve tried to get some footage for quite some time now. But everytime I bring my camera out I just stick it in anyone’s hands – so someone new is filming and every single time… which means the camera settings are always wrong, or the lack of a tripod is showing waaay too much, or the angle is usually very very bad… Thus, the new series of video – BAD FOOTAGE!

(I made v1 yesterday, but decided to put up the older footage first)

I’m beginning to get the hang of how to compress video and how to do some other editing stuff, which means things don’t take as long anymore, which means its more fun, which means I will upload more video, which hopefully means the blog will get more interesting in the future…

Enjoy the crappy footage!

Fast little interview

All the danish (and greenlandic) snowboarders were in hemsedal this week for the danish championship… It was really nice to hang out with those guys again!

Even though everyone was here for snowboarding, Søren Anker of Rider.dk squeezed in a good ol’ chairlift interview and filmed one run through the park to get some action shots to put in the mix…

Here it is!

On my way

Sorry for not updating at all the past week. It was a big week for me, with alot going on. I really wish I would have been able to keep the blog updated, but it was straight up impossible for me since i got really really sick, and I had my biggest comp yet to focus on… It sucks because I really wanted to keep everyone updated on the this particular week, but shit really does happen some times, hehe…
I’m on the boat from Copenhagen to Oslo right, so I’ll be back home tomorrow, and there I’ll give the low-down on how my week went, and I’ll post some photos and some video and stuff…

Have fun till then

A bit stressed

There is a couple reasons I’m not updating so much right now.

First reason is, I lost my internet the other day because I “forgot” to pay my bills while I was in France. Paying bills is seriously the worst thing about travelling! I don’t know how people do both…

Second is because I’m kinda stressed. I’m not even sure why but it might have to do with the fact I didn’t do very well this weekend, the whole paying the bills thing, planning my trip to Laax next week, and because I’m having trouble landing tricks in perfect weather I landed last week in really bad conditions… It’s incredibly annoying!

I’ll film the promised tricks tomorrow if the weather is good, and if someone wants to film it…

Orage European Open!

Just got the awesome news last night – I got in to the Orage European Open slopestyle! I’m soo psyched I don’t even know what to do… Or actually I do. Training is ON!

I Can’t wait to ride against some of the big guys in the game. I’m guessing it’ll be fun no matter how I do in the comp, but I really want to do well and my goal is to qualify through the prelims!

Wish me luck

Sorry about the quality… as I said, I’m still really new at this.

If anyone knows how to export files from Premier Pro and deinterlace them right off the bat, give me a holla!
