Day on the hill.
I had a lot of fun and skied pretty well… finally!
BUT then on one of my last runs of the day I landed backseat on a misty 7 and ended up with a injury known as “Skier´s thumb” or torn Ulnar Collateral Ligament… GREAT!
it looks a little something like this:

In my case it looked like this:
As you can see from the scar in my hand I have operated form this injury before…
Last time it happend was 3-4 year ago and back then I operated right away. This time ill wait till summer – I dont want to wear a cask for 6-7 weeks in the middle of the season!
Right now my thumb is really swollen and sore, almost like it is sprained… the only difference is that I pretty much cant grab around anything!
So, for the next 5 months or so I wont be able to pincer grip of pinch anyone with my left hand. I am also gonna have a real hard time clipping the nails on my right hand, which is gonna suck.
… I the spirit of no pinching I give you this:
Anyways… I did my first couple of sw 10´s of the season today, and I plan on doing a lot more tomorrow. With of without a hurt thumb.
Good Night.
PS: I sure hope I wont be forced to ski without poles!
